Neuro-orthoptics in progressive supranuclear palsy

Book your place on PSPA’s free online masterclass at 6.30pm on 25 March to learn more about Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and how it affects the eyes.
The UK charity, PSPA, is hosting a free online masterclass on 25 March to help ophthalmic professionals understand Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and how it affects the eyes.
PSP is a rare neurological condition that significantly affects various ocular and oculomotor functions. Despite eye changes beginning early in PSP progression, 60% of people are still initially misdiagnosed, with an accurate diagnosis on average taking three years to achieve.
To aid early diagnosis and access to appropriate care, PSPA has developed a set of Eye Red Flags to help ophthalmic professionals spot the early ocular changes in PSP and recommend a neurology referral. To support the Eye Red Flag resource and increase understanding of PSP, PSPA is also hosting a free PSPA masterclass.
